A Lifespan Lens on Tongue-Tie: Functional Clues, Airway Health & Interdisciplinary Solutions

This case-based workshop explores the evolving impact of tongue-tie from infancy through adulthood—revealing how oral dysfunction, tension patterns, and compromised airway health often begin early and persist without integrated care. Through real patient stories, participants will learn to identify subtle but critical functional clues, understand how complementary bodywork (including osteopathy, craniosacral therapy, and chiropractic) enhances outcomes, and explore how early orthodontic intervention can support the development of optimal oral structure, function, and airway health.

Designed for dentists, therapists, bodyworkers, and airway-focused professionals, this session offers practical insights into how truly collaborative care transforms long-term outcomes—well beyond the release itself.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify how oral dysfunction presents across the lifespan—from infants to adults
  • Recognize red flags in the mouth linked to compromised airway health
  • Understand how complementary bodywork informs timing, supports integration, and enhances release outcomes
  • Integrate airway-focused orthodontic principles to support healthy growth in children
  • Apply a collaborative, interdisciplinary care model to guide decision-making and patient support across ages
